Originally, this rare, with an extraordinary taste of coffee from Indonesia, the plantations are located on the islands of Java, Sumatra and Sulawesi. “Kopi” is translated from the Indonesian as the coffee, and “Luwak” – this is a small animal, which is born and expensive coffee.
Kopi Luwak made from coffee berries which have been eaten by and passed through the digestive tract of the Asian Palm Civet (Paradoxurus hermaphroditus) and other related civet populations.(yes it has been this way from the start). The civets eat the berries, but the beans inside pass through their system undigested.
